Sweet Pinxter Azalea - or Mountain Azalea - (Rhododendron canescens) is native to coastal plains and the Piedmont of southeastern U.S.
It attracts lots of pollinators, including hummingbirds.
This particular specimen lives on the slope above Big Bay Swamp in the Birdsong Nature Center between Thomasville, GA and Tallahassee, FL.
