My photography is a study of the world around us
My goal is to capture, preserve, and share scenes in a way that allows you to experience the energy and emotion I felt as I first encountered the scene.
I want to Share what I see with you
I’ve always been drawn to the power of the lens to freeze time. My goal is to capture, preserve, and share scenes in a way that allows others to experience the energy and emotion I felt as I first encountered the scene.
My family moved near the Great Smoky Mountains as I grew into my early teenage years. The timing was fortuitous, as I gained a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the mountains became my first love.
When we were transferred to The Lowcountry, I quickly developed a fondness for water, which has been solidified by decades living along The First Coast of Florida.
Throughout school and early adulthood, I shot sports, events, and commercial photography, with some of my work being included in regional newspapers, corporate publications, and office spaces.
As I moved further into the corporate sector, photography shifted into a creative anchor, where the passion for capturing compelling scenes remained. Photography provided an escape from the stresses and pressures of work and life.
Now dedicating my full effort to this craft, creating imagery worth sharing is my goal.
I invite you to explore my work and find a piece that brings energy or peace into your own home or professional space.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. Please don't hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
Mark Agee Biography
Mark Agee is a landscape and documentary photographer based in Southwest Georgia. His work explores the distinct energies of the American Southeast, from the ancient peaks of the Smoky Mountains and the fluid rhythms of the Atlantic coastline, to the rolling contours of Georgia’s Red Hills, and the ethereal environments beneath the ocean's surface.
Mark’s perspective is rooted in an early background in photojournalism, where he developed a foundational commitment to clarity and timing. His early work was featured in regional newspapers, corporate publications, and distributed via the United Press International newswire. While much of his professional career was spent in the corporate sector—specializing in retail operations and information systems—photography remained a vital creative anchor and an essential reprieve from the pressures of business life.
Now dedicating his full focus to his craft, Mark blends his technical discipline with a deep observational rigor. He prioritizes intentionality in every frame, aiming to preserve the emotional resonance of the natural world before the light shifts. He is currently focused on capturing the diverse ecosystems and events of the Southeast and sharing imagery that serves as a visual anchor for the viewer.
