Mingo Falls
One of the tallest waterfalls in the Appalachian Mountains, Mingo Falls is an inspirational view as it plunges down the mountainside.
Growing up, our family camped several times along Raven Fork, at the base of Mingo Falls. Hiking the steep trail to this view didn’t seem as tiring back then…
Located on tribal land of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Mingo Falls (derived from their language and meaning "Big Bear”), drops 120 feet over granite, before making its way into Raven Fork below.
A print on archival paper, a bold metalprint, or an acrylic print with a dibond backing (16×20” or so) display the range of colors and tones very well.
