Iron Bridge
A pedestrian bridge between Savannah’s Bay Street and the working whares below.
The pattern and form of this bridge caught my eye while visiting the area.
Located adjacent to Emmet Park in the North Historic District of Savannah, this bridge is often referred to as “Love Lock Bridge”. Originally built in the mid 1800s, it’s one of several serving the area known as Factors Walk, spanning the access roads to the warehouses and shipping facilities located lower on the bank of the Savannah Rive.
